Key Features Comparison: Bluetti AC70 vs. EcoFlow River Pro
Power/Performance
Both the Bluetti and the EcoFlow have similar battery performance features. However, the Bluetti AC70 offers that little bit more.
The Bluetti has a capacity of 768Wh which is a little more compared to the EcoFlow River Pro with 720Wh.
The difference here is not that big.
But if we take a look at the power capabilities of both portable power stations then the Bluetti stands out. It can power up to 1000W with surge of 1500W.
On the EcoFlow River Pro you will “only” get 600W with 1200W surge.
This is a significant difference and can determine which appliances you can or cannot use.
However, we must mention that the EcoFlow has 3 AC outlets instead of 2 on the Bluetti.
Still we would advice a model with a higher power capability instead of an extra AC outlet.
Portability & Design
Both power station are similar in terms of portability. They both weigh pretty much the same and have the same size.
They are perfect for moving around a lot and to bring on small camping trips.
On the other hand, the design of the Bluetti AC70 is better because it has a cubic shape which makes it easy to stack in the back of your trunk.
The EcoFlow is less practical in that manner because it has the top handle for carrying.
Battery Life and Expandability
The battery life is significantly better on the Bluetti AC70 vs. Ecoflow River Pro.
The Bluetti AC70 has a LFP battery which is good for more than 3000 cycles until dropping to 80% efficiency.
The EcoFlow River Pro only has 800 cycles to 80% and uses a Lithium-ion battery.
Charging Time and Solar Compatibility
The better performance of the Bluetti AC70 is also noticeable in the charging capabilities.
It has higher power inputs, both AC and solar, respectively 950W and 500W.
On the EcoFlow River Pro that is 660W and 200W. This means it will take longer for the EcoFlow River Pro to fully charge.
Especially the 200W solar input is rather low.
Price and Value for Money
Both models have a good value for money ratio. The initial retail price of the Bluetti AC70 is a bit higher but they often run good deals for this model.
This makes the price/value ratio better for the Bluetti AC70 because you will receive more for less money.
