Key Features Comparison: Bluetti AC180 vs. EcoFlow Delta 2 Max
Power/Performance
In terms of power there are significant differences between the the Bluetti AC180 and EcoFlow Delta 2 Max.
The AC180 has a capacity of 1152Wh versus 2048Wh on the Delta 2 Max. This means you can almost store twice as much energy in the Delta 2 Max.
The EcoFlow Delta 2 Max also has also more power with 2400W and up to 4800W surge.
Also the charge performance is better with 1800W AC input and 1000W solar input. The Bluetti AC180 “only” has 1000W AC input and 500W solar input.
Portability & Design
Both units have a user friendly design. However, the AC180 weighs considerably less and is more compact.
This makes this power station a lot more portable compared to the Delta 2 Max.
This is relatively of course, because the Delta 2 Max has twice the energy capacity. The more energy capacity and power the larger the battery will be.
So for a battery with twice the capacity compared to the AC180, the portability of the Delta 2 Max is still good.
Battery Life and Expandability
Both batteries are LiFePo4 (LFP). When it comes to cycle life, LFP batteries hold a clear advantage.
LFP batteries are known to offer more than 3,000–5,000 cycles. So in terms of lifetime value both portable power systems are good.
The AC180 should run for 3500 life cycles compared to 3000 cycles on the Delta 2 Max. However, we suggest that both units in reality will perform similar.
The Bluetti AC180 can be charged with an extra battery through the DC input port.
The Delta 2 Max can be paired with up to 2 additional batteries to hit a capacity of 6144Wh. This makes it ideal for home back up.
Charging Time and Solar Compatibility
The AC charging times are quite similar between both power stations. Although, that the Delta 2 Max has twice the energy capacity.
Logically, the Delta 2 Max has the highest AC power input with 1800W.
The Delta 2 has twice as much solar input power with a max of 1000W, compared to 500W on the AC180.
Price and Value for Money
The Delta 2 Max has definitely a good price/value ratio. It’s not cheap but the many features and quality of the unit justify it’s price.
However, the AC180 has a really competitive price. Although it lacks a lot of features that Delta 2 Max has, there is a really big price difference between the two.
Which makes the Bluetti AC180 excellent value for money.
