Key Features Comparison: Bluetti AC500 vs EcoFlow Delta Pro
Power/Performance
The AC500 is capable of delivering 5000 Watts of power and an amazing 10000 Watts surge power.
This is a modular system which means you can customize it according to your power needs by selecting different types of B300 batteries or adding more.
In case of the B300K battery you’ll have 2,764.8Wh of power capacity.
Compared to the EcoFlow Delta Pro, the AC500+B300K has less energy capacity but higher output power.
The EcoFlow Delta Pro has a capacity of 3600Wh which is significantly higher.
The max power output and surge on this model are respectively 3600W and 7200W, which is lower than the AC500. However, the AC500 its max power depends on how many B300 batteries you use and which types.
For Example, if you use 1 normal B300 battery you’ll “only” get 3000W out of the AC500, which is lower compared to the EcoFlow’s 3600W.
Portability & Design
The modularity of the AC500+B300K off grid power system helps making it more portable. The AC500 inverter weighs 66.2 lbs and the battery 65.04 lbs.
If we compare it to the EcoFlow Delta Pro, you have just 1 unit (battery + inverter) at around 99 lbs.
Although the Ecoflow Delta Pro is heavier than the AC500 or B300K separate, it is still lighter than those two combined.
Battery Life and Expandability
The battery life cycle depends on which type of B300 battery you add to your modular system.
In case of the B300K you’re good to go for more than 4000 cycles until reaching 80% of its total capacity.
You can add up to 6 batteries to the AC500 (also depends on which type of B300 you use).
The Delta Pro has a built in battery but is expendable too with extra batteries or Delta Pro Units.
One Delta Pro unit will be good to go for 3500 cycles which is a bit lower compared to the B300K, but still very good.
Charging Time and Solar Compatibility
Charging Time
The Bluetti AC500+B300K supports up to 5,000W AC charging when paired with two or more B300S batteries, allowing it to charge in about 1.8 to 2.5 hours depending on the configuration and conditions.
However, the maximum AC power input for a single battery is 1250W.
Additionally, its dual charging feature (AC + Solar) can provide a combined input of 8,000W, significantly cutting down recharge times in ideal setups.
On the other hand the Delta Pro offers a robust 1,800W AC charging input, allowing it to recharge fully in approximately 2 hours.
In multicharge mode (using AC, solar, and smart batteries), it can achieve up to 3,400W input, enabling rapid recharge times in as little as 1.8 hours.
Hence, the Delta Pro has better charging performance compared to the AC500+B300K .
Solar Compatibility
The Bluetti AC500+B300K is equipped with an impressive 3,000W MPPT solar input (12-150V, 15A), it provides faster charging when paired with sufficient solar panels.
The use of MPPT technology ensures efficient solar energy conversion under various conditions.
The EcoFlow Delta Pro supports up to 1,600W solar input (11-150V, 15A) using EcoFlow’s proprietary MPPT technology.
While its solar input capacity is lower than Bluetti’s, the inclusion of features like optional solar trackers can improve the efficiency of energy capture during sunlight fluctuations.
In contrast to the AC charging specs, the AC500+B300K has the better solar performance.
Price and Value for Money
The price value for portable power station is often expressed in how many Watt-Hours you get for your bucks.
If we calculate this for both models we see that each Watt-Hour on the Bluetti costs $0.80 and on the Delta Pro $0.53.
Based on these number we could conclude that the Delta Pro offers best value for money. However, this only takes into account the energy capacity.
There are off course other specs and factors also to consider such as AC in- and output power, solar capabilities, etc…
